The Starlite Room is easily the best small venue in Edmonton. The layout of the space really works well to show all kinds of bands and artists. The space is intimate yet still big enough to mingle casually.
The staff at SR is fantastic. They know Edmonton's music scene inside and out. Super friendly while maintaining a high level of professionalism that really shows. They are organized and ready for the night. It really makes a big difference when you are standing in a lineup to get in or trying to get some info from a staff member that they are prepared.
Let's talk ticket prices! Another huge plus to SR is that you can still (in 2019 when I'm writing this) see great bands that have a pretty solid following, for a great price. A fair price without any BS 'convenience fee' or the like.
Another great thing is that there's a pub underneath. So if you want to have a few drinks before a show or have a bite to eat between sets upstairs, it's real easy to do so without having to walk blocks and blocks.
Final note: parking is super convenient as well. There's a huge parking lot no more than 20 metres from the front door so the problem of finding parking and having to walk in the heat or cold for blocks and blocks is essentially non existent.
Go online to see upcoming shows! You'll be very happy you did.

I’ve seen too many concerts to name them all on here, but this is an Edmonton Staple concert venue. Silver sun Pickups is still my favourite, but last year I saw Powerglove, only 50 people were there, they had it on the second stage I didn’t know existed, it was awesome!! The band had to walk through us with their gear to get to the stage, all the opening local bands joined the mosh pit for Powerglove, it was the most memorable concert I’ve seen there. Never close.

Attended a concert of a rap metal band from back home. Only concern I had was the sloped floor, which made it even more exhausting to jump/head bang while watching the band and enjoying the songs. Drinks were okay though.

Use to be Citadel theater but now it's Starlite Room where Live Rock&dRoll, Techno and Some R&B concerts happens on every weekend. It's an awesome place to enjoy music and beer great crowd and friendly stuff. You have to be 19 and a piece of Government Issued picture ID required.

Great venue, very clean washrooms!Getting through the doors is super easy as long as you have the membership and tickets from eventbrite. The staff are friendly and approachable. The venue does wear a bit on the feet due to the sloping floor. So wear comfortable shoes. The acoustics of the room echo a bit which hurts the sound a tad especially when there's a lot of drumming. Overall great experience.
