Like the other location, Chaise Lounge in St Boniface, this place serves a standard menu set each day. There is usually a savory plate, to be shared, followed by a sweet tray also shared. You can order refills of anything, as many times as you want. If you want something special, or have special dietary needs give them a call before hand and they will accommodate.
Saturday and Sunday they do a brunch menu, sausages and bacon, scrambled eggs on croissants. They also have a vegetarian chili/baked beans dish, and deep fried very crispy potatoes, and Brussels sprouts with green beans. Desserts are interesting, nutella mousse on a chip, waffles and stuff.
Everything was tasty, coffee was endless, and nobody rushed us to get out. There was a group of 7 of us and we had a great brunch and chin wag. The place has 3 distinct areas and lots of seating, in the summer there is a patio on the street as well.
Parking is a bit questionable, the side streets have time limits, even on Saturday so you might have to park a ways off, but the #18 stop is virtually outside the front door. I look forward to trying them for dinner and lunch this summer.
